Do you ever get bogged down in negative thoughts when something happens in your day that you did not expect? Happiness, it turns out, is not a function of what happens to us, but is actually how we choose to think about the things that happen to us. Happiness is not something that we should expect 100% of the time either. Life is not supposed to be perpetually happy. Working to teach yourself to feel the positive and negative emotions is what creates real happiness.
