Attachment style refers to a particular way that an individual relates to other people. Your attachment style is developed very early in life and stays with you into your adult relationships. Your attachment style dictates how you relate to people particularly in situations that trigger stress. The four styles are, Secure, Insecure Avoidant (Dismissive Avoidant), Insecure Ambivalent (Anxious Preoccupied) and Fearful Avoidant (Disorganized). Understanding your style will help you see how you can work to create more secure relationships with others in your life.
